About Us
The Theatre Facilities Unit is an academic support services unit within
the College of Humanities, Arts and Social Sciences. We provide production
design and technical support services for public events held in the
University Theatre and other selected campus and community venues.
These services include lighting, sound, staging, design advice, ticketing
(through the Fine Arts Ticket Office), and crowd control. The 484-seat
University Theatre is the largest formal performing arts venue at
UCR, and is the center of our activities. It is a fully-equipped theatre
with a wide-range of performance and presentation capabilities. The
staff consists of professional theatrical technicians, administrative
support, and a large pool of UCR students. All of the staff are committed
to the highest standards of performing arts excellence and are here
to insure that your audience and artists will have a gratifying experience
while you are with us.
Mission
Our mission is to provide professional theatrical services to the
campus and surrounding communities for producers staging events in
the University Theatre and other selected campus venues. We are committed
to delivering the highest quality services at the lowest possible
cost.
